Training successfully completed
The entire company kept their fingers crossed, although that wouldn't have been necessary. But it didn't hurt either, and now it's done: Joel Nowak and Timo Weber are fully qualified mechatronics technicians.
They have fully committed themselves for three and a half years and completed their mechatronics training with top grades. A prize and a commendation are the reward for their dedication. We are proud of our "Käpsele" (Swabian term for a particularly smart person) and hope that we have contributed a little to this success - through expert explanations, support when needed, and a good atmosphere in the company.
During the first year of their training, we only saw them at the company during school holidays. Otherwise, they spent blocks of time at vocational school and at the IHK Training Center in Aalen. There, they learned basic manual skills such as drilling, filing, welding, and later also electrical fundamentals, for example about components, circuits, and cable routing. From the second year of apprenticeship, they spent time in blocks at vocational school and with us at the company.
At LAS, they worked on real customer projects from the beginning. Initially on small assemblies, over time the tasks and responsibilities grew. Towards the end of their training, the two were so proficient that they traveled to customers to set up systems or perform service calls.
During their training, they got to know many departments: training stations included mechanical and electrical assembly, mechanical and electrical design, sorting equipment construction/sheet metal work, and incoming goods/warehouse.
After the final exams, the two faced the question of which area they wanted to work in in the future. Joel chose mechanical assembly and will take on increasingly larger tasks in building our assembly machines. Timo will build feeding systems. What appeals to him about this is that he handles both the mechanical and electrical assembly parts.
If the two want to add further training later, they have many options, such as technician, specialist, or a degree program, gladly in cooperation with LAS. But internally there are also many opportunities to develop further and gradually take on more responsibility.
