City Cycling 2025: More Participants, More Kilometers – and More Rain!
The LAS team participated once again in the nationwide "City Cycling" campaign in 2025, where participants collect as many kilometers as possible by bicycle over three weeks to make a statement for climate-friendly mobility. And we have grown in all areas.
A total of 23 employees got on their bikes this year – five more than the previous year and almost a quarter of our workforce. Nevertheless, we narrowly missed the podium in the "largest team" category. Apparently, other teams have also been busy recruiting new cyclists.
With 2,530 kilometers collected, we exceeded our previous year's result by a proud 220 kilometers. Many colleagues regularly left their cars at home and cycled to work. This not only protects the environment but also saves money and keeps us fit.
Our traditional highlight was once again the joint bike tour to the beer garden in Schorndorf. We set off in beautiful weather, and the cold beer tasted particularly good after the ride there. On the return journey, we also got wet from the outside: A heavy downpour caught us, typical of the unpredictable weather during the campaign period. All the more respectable that many were not deterred from cycling by this.
Conclusion: More participants, more kilometers – and overall more water from above during the three weeks. We're already looking forward to City Cycling 2026!
