During the autumn vacations, a two-day handball camp with over 50 children took place in Alfdorf. It was organized by the handball departments of TSV Alfdorf-Lorch and WSG Allowa. The coaching team included active and former Bundesliga and national players.
The two days started with Corona quick tests for all participants. After that, game tactics and technique were trained in various exercises. The young handball players immediately put what they had learned into practice in practice games and a final tournament.
LAS supported the camp as a sponsor and is pleased that in view of the great enthusiasm of the children, such events will be held more frequently in the future.
Before we delivered one of our assembly lines to the customer, we shot a short film in our assembly hall again. It shows the assembly machine in trial operation in our assembly hall.
The system is used to produce various plastic syringes with a filling volume of 1-3 ml. It runs at our customer’s location in three-shift operation with a capacity of 80 syringes/minute.
As usual with machines for the medical industry, we have considered all the relevant requirements and standards.
By the way, the music used in the film also comes from our company. Our employee Rainer Aslan not only is a professional in design engineering, but - as the background shows - also on the mixing desk. He was also the one who composed the music used in the film about the assembly of strike plates.Watch the film
The drive is the heart of every feeding system. If it beats irregularly, the part feeding may stall or completely stop. That is why the drive systems for our LAS vibratory bowl feeders underwent an "open-heart surgery". Our engineers have analysed and optimized each component and tested the different types in various laboratory trials. Their endless dedication results in a new generation of more reliable and best-performing LAS drives with unbeatable cost-efficiency.
The benefits of the new drive systems:
And what is particularly important: The sorting bowls used until now can also be used with the new drives.
By the way: We also care about the heart of our employees, guests and neighbours. Our assembly hall features a heart defibrillator, which, in case of emergency, can stimulate stumbling hearts again. Fortunately, our company's first aiders have never had to use it. But it's comforting to know it is there.
Many of our machines are used for assembly and/or testing processes in the pharmaceutical and medical sector. We are familiar with the specific requirements and standards that have to be met here.
We describe our services in our new medical devices brochure. Here you can find out more, among other things about

Lately we increase the usage of mobile operating panels, so-called industrial tablet computers, to operate our machines. Industrial tablet computers are the most advanced type of machine control. They are used to remotely connect to the permanently installed control panel.
The most important advantages:
Depending on the customer's requirements we also offer our basic versions. The available options include a permanently installed operating panel, a cable-connected removable operating panel or a panel mounted on a swivel arm.
Only 10 years have passed since the foundation of our company. Not much time, if you consider what we have achieved up to now:
We are well positioned for the future and look forward to the next decade!
On October 10th the Motek fair in Stuttgart closed its doors and again our fair team had their hands full. There was no sign of a weakening economy in mechanical engineering. On the contrary - many visitors came to our stand with concrete projects. Others took the opportunity to cultivate contacts even without current demand.

The French trade magazine DeviceMed France has published an article about our high-speed assembly machine speedCELL in its current issue. With this machine our customer produces closures with dropper insert for the pharmaceutical industry.
At the weekend, many LAS employees met in a different environment than usual at the soccer tournament for hobby teams in Walkersbach. Whether on the pitch or as a spectator - everyone showed enormous commitment. The atmosphere was excellent and so the sporting result was secondary.
At the beginning of 2019, LAS took over the business field of Lackner GmbH from Schwäbisch Gmünd. The main area of the acquired business is the manufacture of special applications from development to the finished product, always in close cooperation with the customer, as well as the manufacture of electrical contacts for well-known companies, mainly in the automotive supply sector. Over the years, the former Lackner employees have built up extensive know-how in this field. A second main pillar is the production of individual production parts, among others for the mechanical engineering industry.
LAS has taken over most of the employees and machines of Lackner. The existing customers can therefore continue to be supplied from the new location without interruption. They still have the same contact persons and can rely on the proven quality. And the former Lackner employees were able to seamlessly continue their work at LAS.
The new addition also had an effect on the colleagues at LAS. In the assembly hall, everyone has moved a bit closer together. It was rebuilt and reorganized to make room for the rkstations of the new employees in the workshop and the offices and for the two CNC machining centers, which moved from Schwäbisch Gmünd to Lorch in January.
Denis Rduch in the fight ring and at work
Our colleague Denis Rduch is a very friendly, peaceful and sociable colleague. He is all the more dangerous in his free time, for his opponents in the fight ring. Most evenings he spends in the martial arts studio Di Mitri in Schorndorf and pursues his passion kickboxing.
He is now very successful in this field. He has just secured the title of German Champion in the weight class up to 86 kg in kickboxing according to K-1 rules. This is the highlight of his martial arts career so far. The management and all colleagues congratulate Denis on this success.
When he is not training, which he does up to eight times a week, he manufactures all kinds of feeding equipment in our sorting equipment department. Here he shows sensitivity in handling welding equipment, angle grinder etc.. But after work he goes to work all the more energetically in the fight ring.
Denis Rduch was pleased that the LAS management enabled him to interrupt his work during the day in order to have time for additional training units during the targeted preparation for the championship fight.
Four intense days are behind the LAS Motek team, but the efforts have been worthwhile.
Whether it were long-term customers that came along to say hello while enjoying a cup of coffee or to discuss new projects or potential customers with exciting requests – there was always a lot of traffic at our stand.
Here you can find a press article about our ratioCELL assembly machine for pipettes.
Here you will find the final report of the trade fair organisers.

From 19 - 22 June 2018, we exhibited for the first time at the Automatica trade fair in Munich as part of the joint stand "young, innovative companies", which was organised by the Federal Ministry of Economics. Many existing customers found their way to our stand, but we also made many promising new contacts.

With effect from the end of October, LAS has taken over Eccard Engineering GmbH, a well-known manufacturer of feeding systems. This adds to LAS's portfolio in the sector and means it is manufacturing all key feeding technology components in-house.
The LAS team will in future be providing you with comprehensive advice and support in all feeding technology matters in conjunction with Mr. Eccard.Portfolio feeding systems
Successful trade fair participation in Stuttgart and Friedrichshafen
At our booth we met old acquaintances, made exciting new contacts and had lots of interesting conversations.
Besides our renowned assembly machines, visitors were very interested in our extended product range in feeding systems.
